Our tutoring program support the children of the Hightstown East Windsor community.
We meet on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, 6:30 to 9:00 at the
Grace Norton Rogers School in Hightstown.
Currently, we are working with children in grades 3-8. Our focus is;
homework completion, and general skill building.
We bring in guest speakers, and we plan a few field trips. All through February we celebrated Black History Month by introducing two major historical figures at each session and supplementing the discussions with word searches and other games. In March, our focus has been Women Studies and Politics. The children have engaged in several debates and many thought provoking discussions. We will continue to add content to the enrichment part of our program. In addition to the basics, we encourage the children to participate in special projects. And We also work on fitness in the gym.
We need your support! If you’re a high school student, current/former teacher, teacher’s assistant,
or someone who feels like they can make a positive contribution, please contact us.
A full time commitment is not required
you can participate twice a week or twice a month, we’re very flexible.
Feel free to stop by the school on any Tuesday/Thursday night. We’ll be in the multi-purpose room and we look forward to seeing you.
With the help from the Hightstown High School who is willing to help us a lot and we plan to grow fast. We're hoping to continue though out the summer months with some of the student that would like to get the help that they so deserve
